The sale is almost exclusively wines we have purchased at reduced prices with the specific intent of offering them to you at sale prices. There will be a few items from our regular inventory that have been lingering a bit. The sale will begin at 2pm Thursday, May 14th and continue Friday and Saturday, the 15th and 16th, from open to close.
You’ll need to be here to participate because we will not distribute a list of the wines. We are privileged to be allowed access to deals like these but one of the main reasons we get the offers is that we do not put pricing online or in places where it can easily be shared. We will, of course, have a list of the wines available at the store during the sale.
We will open a few wines to start things off Thursday afternoon and after that if you buy the last bottle(s) of a wine you get to pick the next wine we open. This approach was a big hit before, and we managed to find enough good buys that we can do it again! We are still working on the full list but we expect more than 700 bottles to be delivered and we expect there to be more than 70 wines. Most of the wines are in short supply (less than 12 bottles) but a few will have cases available. There are a lot of Italian reds and California Cabernets plus some whites from Alsace, Spanish reds, California Chardonnays, Oregon Pinot Noirs, champagnes, but almost no Burgundy.
