Our Wine Pick for your 2024 Olympic Watch Party

Champagne Collet Brut Art Deco Premier Cru

This winery was founded in 1921 and while we can’t verify this, it’s quite possible that their first release was in the same year that Paris last hosted the Olympic Games! (1924) What we can verify is that the champagne is delicious, and a great value! It carries a Premier Cru designation and 7 Grand Cru sources are represented in the blend. 40% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir and 20% Pinot Meunier are aged a minimum of 4 years on the lees. The champagne is lovely, with a subtle creaminess, some yeasty/toasty notes and fresh acidity.
