Not everyone has the time, patience and/or space to age wines properly. With money to burn you can buy aged wines in restaurants and some wine shops but we really love to find hidden treasures that offer that older, developed taste at reasonable prices. Come taste 11 wines, 2 whites and 9 reds, with at least 7 years of age! There are a number of Riojas because we love them and because they often age them for years in their own cellars before releasing them for sale. All of the wines we will taste are under $30, some significantly under $30! We have 11 selections for this one because we simply could not bring ourselves to eliminate any of these wines. You will have enough time to finish this tasting if you arrive by 6:00pm.

The village is known for opulence and minerality. Bourgogne Wines’ website says, “this wine is the Chardonnay grape dressed in glittering gold!” The best have wonderful balancing acidity but there is always some exuberant fruit. We will taste two Bourgogne Blanc from the appellation and from Chassagne-based vignerons. Then we’ll move to six village-level wines, including one single vineyard that could easily be a premier cru. We’ll finish with two premier cru wines from the makers of the Bourgognes so we can taste the full progression. This is a seated class that begins at 6:00pm.
