Plus, for those of you who could not attend our recent Rhône and Bordeaux Terroir Tasting, we have packages available that will allow you to recreate the tasting on your own. Unfortunately, demand has been outpacing supply for a few years now and that has driven prices to never before seen levels. On June 8th we will have 8 white wines open that are Sancerre-ish in style. Some will be the same grape, Sauvignon Blanc, and some will simply be in a similar style that you may not otherwise consider. All of them will be at significantly better prices than Sancerre. And the entire tasting (with cheese included) will cost you less than a single bottle of Sancerre. (Don’t worry, we still love Sancerre and will continue to stock the best versions we find).  The SANCERE SUBSTITUTES TASTING event is not a seated event. Buy your ticket and come any time during the appointed times, including up to 30 minutes before the event ends, you will get to taste all the wines. It is time to mark your calendar for this popular annual summer event! Summer starts on June 21st and we want to give you an opportunity to choose your favorite(s) by tasting all of our rosés – we will have around 30 in stock by then. Come early and you will get to pick some of the wines we will feature that day but if you come later you will still get to taste a wide assortment of rosés – on all three days. No need to RSVP for the Carnival of Rosés, just show up and we’ll take you on a tour. | WINE STORAGE UNITS FOR SALE We have a customer looking to sell two wine storage units and if you are interested, please let us know so we can put you in touch with one another. They are being sold as is, where they are, so the buyer would need to disassemble them and move them. The details as provided by the seller: They are of a wooden pre-fabricated design and are easily installed. They are both of the same specifications. The interior dimensions are 89 inches long and 80 inches wide. Each side of the interior has 22 slots long and 16 from top to bottom. Each slot has a depth that accommodates two bottles of wine. Each side has top storage that can accommodate wine and/or magnum cases. On one side, there is a space for the cooling system, which is 4 slots by 5 slots. Each room has interior lighting, a cooling system, and a humidity control system. There is a spare cooling system plus a portable diesel generator set capable of running both rooms in the case of a power failure.NOLA Wine Merchant Note: The racking is on the walls of the unit with room between them for cases of wine (presumably short-term storage as it would make it harder to walk around but more space nonetheless). We have pictures available and will share them with anyone that is interested. They are in an office location (in the New Orleans area) at the moment but could certainly fit inside an extra room in a house as well. |
